Molly's lifelong athleticism and 20+ years of yoga practice, study, and teaching have given her an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the body. Her teaching brings a variety of experiences to enhance the needs of each student. Molly believes that everyone - athletes, business people, teachers, and homemakers alike - need time to decompress and “just be”.
Molly brought yoga to the Fairport school district as a community servie effort and teaches kids, sport teams, and other community groups. She was also the Program Director for Girls On The Run of Greater Rochester for over 3 years. After opening her 2nd studio, she stepped down from this position and is still very much involved with the program as a sponsor.
Molly's teaching is authentic and traditional, bringing students "back to basics" in order to cultivate a strong base for growth. She received over 700 hours of teaching certification through Esther Meyers Yoga Studio in Toronto and regularly attends workshops and retreats throughout the US and Canada.
Molly teaches traditional Hatha yoga, emphasizing the fundamentals of yoga along with the teachings of Vanda Scarvelli and Esther Myers. Yoga classes begin laying back on the floor, breathing, and allowing the body to find release. Class will then flow into deep (but gentle) openings of the spine, hips and shoulders; Molly is playful with the traditional poses and focuses on breathing throughout. Gradually coming back down to the floor, class will unwind into relaxation and savasana. Molly’s classes are suited for everyone, whether you are new to yoga or an advanced student.
